How to Measure Your Walls

  1. Measure the height
Measure each wall from the floor to the ceiling in feet. Write down the height of each wall you plan to wallpaper.
  2. Measure the width
Measure each wall from end to end in feet. Write down the width of each wall. Ignore doors and windows.
  3. Calculate the square footage
Multiply the height by the width of each wall.

Example:
8 feet high x 12 feet wide = 96 square feet

If you're measuring more than one wall, repeat the steps for each wall and add the totals together.

We recommend adding at least 10% extra for trimming, pattern matching, and installation waste.

A Few Helpful Tips

  • Double-check your measurements before ordering.
  • Wallpaper with a pattern repeat may require extra material.
  • An extra roll can also be helpful for mistakes or future repairs.
